A daily meditation practice can offer a different relationship with your mind. Meditation is about learning to pay attention, in the present moment, without judgement. The benefits of regular meditation have been demonstrated again and again in multiple studies. Meditating makes you happier, is good for your health, protects your brain from aging, boosts your intelligence, and helps reduce pain, stress, and depression. Every moment of your life there is always the wonderful possibility to slow down, breathe deeply and get curious about where you are — to begin again, to be aware, and awaken to what is.

Redwing Yoga offers private and group meditation instruction in the Vipassana tradition. Whether you are an experienced meditator looking for mentoring and support or are experiencing meditation for the first time, meditation allows you to befriend your busy mind. With your attention focused on breath or mantra we find a way to step away from the chatter that often clutters the mind.

When we are able to sit and see ourselves more clearly, it is an opportunity to undo the conditioning that we’ve become caught in, and become familiar with what entangles us and what releases us into joy. When we train our mind to notice our mental habits, we then have more freedom to choose how we act.

My meditation teachings are concrete, down to earth, and practical so you can develop a sustainable, personal practice.

Morning Meditation

Monday Morning Meditations: Every Monday morning come sit with a group of us who are befriending our minds and opening hearts to this day, just as it is. Join us with camera on or off, doesn't matter. Start your week off on the right foot and sit quietly with yourself.

Begins 1/24/2022

These mornings will begin with a brief guided meditation or reflection and then we will sit together.

Purple Flowers is a FREE weekly Zoom gathering where we meditate and explore the Buddhist Eightfold Path and Buddhist psychology. Each week we walk down the path together and dive into the beauty and richness of the teachings and how aptly they apply to the complexities and challenges of our everyday life.  Together we study, share, and question. Join us every Wednesday as we bring ancient wisdom into the present day, for balance, healing, compassion, clarity, wisdom, love and liberation for all.
